Lost Cause

Leysin, Switzerland

Through the faint light of the frozen flame,
He glanced at the shine of the blunted sword.
Fallen men at his feet. A Lost Cause within.
He Closed his eyes and mightily he roared.

                                                                                                         - Hausle Buland

Lost Causes are the only causes worth fighting for.
(Mr Smith Goes to Washington, 1939)
