So much for Making it to the top..

It does not matter Now.
Which Path I take.
Destinations are Blurred.
Milestones are fake.

Alone here.
The Air is thin.
No familiar faces here.
It has wiped out my grin.
Living in constant fear.
How deep is the drop,
So much,
For making it to the top.

Photo clicked on the way to a morning run(10:00 AM is still morning...right? ) in Zurich.

Maybe a winner rat though. - being optimistic.

  2. I so love this poem. You said so much in less line. Every word is so true and still we are constantly slogging to reach the top.

Great poem with a lovely picture:)

  3. Often when all victories are pocketed , you are lonely. sometimes because you have become a loner(in the process)..and sometimes because it is you, and you alone who deserved that summit!

though when you climb up that ladder you should never disregard the step you have just crossed. ~this is something similar to a quote in Julius Ceaser.(not able to recall correctly)

  6. Wonderful and profound writing with the perfect image to exhibit the message!

It is said then when you hit rock bottom, there's no where to go but up ... this presents the opposite side of the journey. It can be very lonely at the pinnacle and where does one go after that?

    LOVE this poem!

My definition of morning = anything before noon :)

  10. some poem this one, 'How deep is the drop, so much for making it to the top' loved this line a lot, it lonely at the top, but worth being there " akele aayein hain, akele jayenge, bas zindagi ki kahin parchayeeyan, yaad ayenge"

  13. It might be dark for now,
    Groping in the dark,
You try to find familiar faces,
But there is always an exit,
    Light! somewhere waiting for us
    to reach it,
we need to take a leap!

i love when something like this, your post, sparks and makes to think :)

I think..you mean..that the process which took you the top is as important..(if not more) as actually getting to the top..and yes..I agree with it. But, if it makes one loner, disconnected...is it worth it?

Unfulfilled, we were before..and we are..even on top. :)

High Five for the definition of morning...I go even a bit further..when ever I wake up..it is morning ;)

Thank you for your words..and it does make sense...that..ones are at the bottom have no way but going up..and the opposite is true for ones..who are at the top..Its a constant journey..and sitting at one place..is out of question, out of fashion and inconceivable! :)

Ah..I got it all wrong then.. :P

Lets take it step by Step..

Often when all victories are pocketed , you are lonely. sometimes because you have become a loner(in the process).

'When we have won all the battles and wars of life and feel that we have achieved what we wanted to achieved when we started...in the process..we have distanced ourselves from the company of others..whom presence we once enjoyed...or may be we took them for granted..and moved ahead...only to find that...we left them behind... '

    Yahan tak thik hai?

..and sometimes because it is you, and you alone who deserved that summit!

'May be..the top has only that much space and can not include every one...but..I am not sure..about deserving...Once again it is a vague term..and who knows who deserves what..unless we settle for something..' :)

    Ye thik hai?

though when you climb up that ladder you should never disregard the step you have just crossed.

'Every step which took you to the top is as important as the top itself..'

    ab kuch miss hua?

    :D :D
